Transfers to and from Padang airport.
3 delicious meals per day including snacks as well as drinks although beer does include one carton of beer per person, extra can be purchased at own expense.
Full use of amenities on board including fishing gear as well as the tender dinghies to access surf breaks, for fishing and exploring the surrounding islands. -
Satellite phone charges, extra beers, wine & spirits however we can order these for you charged at local cost price when you book your trip with us.
Photography service is not included but can be purchased at time of booking for AUD $250/per person.
Wifi Internet package is not included but can be purchased at time of booking for AUD $100.
The Mentawai Surf Tax is not included in Charter cost
As of August 1st 2016, the Mentawai Government introduced a new surfing tax for any tourists surfing in the Mentawai Islands. This is Rp 1.000.000.00/per person and must be paid prior to going to the Mentawai Islands. We can pay this for you through our agreement with the West Sumateran Boat Association (AKSSB) for an additional Rp 150.000.00/per person bringing the total cost to Rp 1.150.00.00/per person. Alternatively, you can go direct to www.mentawai-travel.com for details on paying it yourself.

Travel Insurance is compulsory before boarding the Gypsy Laut and it must include Medivac. Some examples of companies to use are, Online Travel Insurance or Travel Safe.

Once you contact us we can discuss date options, prices and what will be suitable for you. -
Payments are made via bank transfer into our account which we will provide once the dates have been confirmed. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking with the balance being paid 2 weeks prior to your departure. When you complete the transfer please include the reference dates of the trip or the name of the trip organizer.

We can comfortably accommodate 8 guests in the sleeping cabins. We have no set minimum in regard to guest numbers however there is a minimum cost required to set sail. If you do have a group of 9 or less than 6 people please contact us so we can discuss some suitable options for you.

You will need to fly into Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia. You should organize a flight from your country of origin into either Bali or Jakarta then book a domestic flight to Padang from these places.

If your Charter dates were from the 3rd to the 14th of May you would aim to arrive on the morning or early afternoon of the 3rd as the boat leaves at 6pm to head to the Islands. You would then look to fly out on the 14th of May after 9am.

Surfboards, 2-3 pairs of boardshorts, T shirts, booties, spare leg ropes, rash vests, Tropical surf wax, spare fins & keys, sunscreen, sunglasses, Mosquito repellant and anything else you feel you may require.
